We've given our notice at the apartment complex where we live and have to be out by the end of November. However, the deal for the home we were going to buy fell through (not our fault) and we have to start over from scratch. We think we can get things back on track for a closing prior to January 1st but we need a place to stay for the month of December and possibly part of January. Most of our belongings will be stored so we don't have to move them multiple times; we'll be bringing only what we absolutely need so partially furnished would be helpful but not essential.

We are a quiet, early fifties couple with no children and two very well behaved pets: a small dog and cat. She is a high school teacher and he is unable to work but can help out with some maintenance tasks. My Situation:
Richmond has been my home for many years but I recently moved away after being laid off. I'm staying with family in Norfolk and have decided to keep it that way until I finish school, (school being in Richmond, for nursing). This is my second go around with college. The first was a BFA in CAD from VCU . Word is it's nearly impossible to work and go to nursing school; very rigorous. I can't afford to move back to Richmond full on but the commute while in this program may destroy me as well. It would be really cool if someone had an extra room I could rent a couple nights during the week. I would only move in an air mattress and some basics here and there. I shower at the gym and eat on the go. You may never see me!

About Me:
Not so young I'm annoying, not so old I'm uptight: 37 SWF. Super laid back. Live & let live, golden rule, etc. Wee bit a neat freak. Drink, yes..but not in an excessive way, just wine with dinner and...whenever else I want. Smoke...eh, no cigarettes; quit those a year ago. I am conscientious and respectful of individual space. Sometimes dry or dark sarcastic or irreverent sense of humor, other times just silly and ridiculous.

What I am NOT looking for:
No-I am NOT a hooker; just a student needing a room a couple nights a week. No funny business. I will pay what we agree on in CASH. Also, I would prefer my car in the walmart 24 hr parking lot to a roach infested rat-hole for sleeping.If your place is super nasty...I'm not the gal. And no drama, no stupid drama please. Otherwise whatever, male, female..straight, gay, bi, smoker, non smoker, drinker, nondrinker, whatever suites your fancy is fine with me as long as I have the privacy of a room.

Ideal is furnished including desk / work area (or at least space for a small simple cheap desk with computer). Must be in walkable area of town, or relatively near main bus line for access to all shopping needs and amtrak. Must be safe part of town for walking late at night.

I am a responsible 25 year old with a bachelor's currently living in NYC (which is why no car). I will take great care of your place and stuff, and happily provide references, resume, credit report, etc. I need a place somewhere between Nov 15 and March 1 to work on a writing project on a grant. I picked Richmond because I need the cheap rent prices and public transportation access to DC and Fredericksburg. I do not want to furnish a new place or deal with setting up utilities, etc. Happy to simply replace you while you take a break from rent while travelling or go home!
