This beautiful majolica serving dish is illustrated on page 29 of the famous French book Artichauts et asperges en barbotine by Maryse Bottero. It is listed as a design made by the famous French faiencerie Luneville. It is shaped as a double basket with a branch style carry handle in the middle. It rests on feet which are also shaped as branches. It has drainage holes in the bottom and would normally be accompanied with a majolica drip tray. The colors are muted greens and purples with brown detailing for the branches.
