Rare lime-green 1971 Tour de France racing bike in excellent condition. The frame is large-size 63cm hand-brazed Reynolds 531 steel-magnesium alloy, with Prugnot lugs. A few minor nicks but no dents, rust, or gunk. Stock, except for the handlebar quill-stem, new chain, and UKAI clincher-wheels with Panasonic Panaracer tires (the original wheels are also included; which are Mavic Monthlery tubular rims with Normandy Luxe hubs and Continental sew-up tires, all in good condition). This bike is a 10-speed with a STRONGLITE Super Competition 93 crankset and SIMPLEX Criterium derailleurs. Shifters are of the down-tube friction type, and work perfectly in all 10 gears. Brakes are MAFAC Racer. The IDEALE leather-seat is in great condition. The bike is fully-functional with smooth bearings lubricated and adjusted. This 100% French vintage bike is a dream to ride. Quite smooth and fast and comfortable. It is also a Collector's bike at a bargain price. As shown in the pictures, the bike is adjusted for me at 6'3". The top-bar stand-over height is 35 inches, so the bike would be ideal for a rider in the 6'2"-6'4" height range.
