This is a beautifully carved antiqued sofa from the 1800s. Believe it is mahogany. It has been in my family for years and was last reupholstered in the late 90s. Lion Paw feet, carving of a lion on the bottom, carved eagles and scrolls and fruit at the top. This is a large and sturdy couch. It makes a statement and perfect for a formal room or historic house. It is in great condition and is a piece that sits like an old sofa - very straight back and stiff seat. There is a small tear in the seat fabric and some smalls stains at one end.
