This chair offers both form and function-as well as a piece of history. I purchased it 25 years ago from Beck’s Antiques in downtown Fredericksburg and paid $275. (before tax). It is from the mid 1800’s and is in the exact condition in which it was purchased-other than the black lacquer paint-which I had it painted later. (It had been painted black prior to my purchase also.) It was quite obvious then-as it is now-that this piece has definitely seen much “use” in its aging, only adding to its charm. However , there are no loose joints and the chair sits comfortably.
The measurements for the chair are approximately: 45 3/4” High (top of the back to the floor), 20 1/2” at seat’s widest, 18 1/2” seat’s Depth and 27 3/4” wide from writing arm to the opposite chair arm. Cash only. All sales final.
