We have Golden Comet pullets (chicken hen under the age of 1 year). They are 19 weeks old and at point of lay - some have already started laying and the others will start laying in the next few weeks. They have been tested for Avian Influenza and Pullorum so you can safely add them to your flock. They are $22 each.

Our Golden Comets will continue to be disease free birds because they have been vaccinated against Mareks, Mycoplasma Gallisepticum and Salmonella.

Our Golden Comets are a Rhode Island Red cross. Because they are a hybrid they average 7 extra large brown eggs a week (if properly fed) and lay year round better than most heritage breeds.

Our Comets come from a particular bloodline that makes them exceptionally kind, gentle and very docile. They love human interaction and will even squat down in front of you to be petted or picked up. This makes them the perfect bird for first time chicken keepers.
