Interested in being more meat independent in the new year? Meat rabbits are one of the easiest and most affordable ways - limited infrastructure needs, easy to do in a backyard and with rapid results! One trio (two does, 1 buck) can produce more than 200lbs of meat in a year! Rabbit is lean (see last pic of our typical yield from a roaster weight grow out), as easy to prepare as chicken, and very similar in taste. Raising rabbits has the added benefit of producing excellent manure for gardening, and its interesting and accessible for young kids to learn about animal husbandry.
We raise high quality large breed rabbits and usually have several options of various ages available - pure of breed and crosses (see combinations detailed below) available. Breeding trios consist of two females and an unrelated buck.
All our rabbits are used to being handled, and come right to the cage door to greet us! These breeds are known for their easy care, and calm dispositions. Our farm has been breeding for over a decade, concentrating on hardiness, growth rate, and meat-to-bone ratio. All have excellent physical characteristics and temperament, beautiful coats and recently clipped nails. Each rabbit comes with transition feed and some hay from our farm to mix into what you decide to use, so they have the best start!

Cross individuals are $50 each, pure (NZ or Californian) are $75, any trio (one male, 2 females) for $150.
