Buying chickens right as they transition from pullets to hens in late winter/early spring (hatched in the fall) is the best kept farm secret to getting early eggs when everyone else is just getting started with chicks and has to wait all summer! These HENS are right at POINT OF LAY!!!
We do the hardest, time and infrastructure intensive, and dangerous part for you - raising chicks under lights the first several weeks of life, until feathered and ready for ambient temps. Be ahead of the game skipping straight to eggs in your basket!!!
Our HENS are 28 weeks old on 4/20/26 and are laying beautiful shades of brown/cream/pink (Silver Laced Wyandotte), and classic brown (Production Red)!!!
We chose these breeds not only to be able to offer you a rainbow of colored egg options but for their cold and heat hardiness, production, and temperaments.

Our chickens are handled daily and are very friendly, happy, healthy, and are acclimated to ambient temps! The eat out of my hand and don't mind pets! They are large, fully feathered and supplemental heat weaned entirely.
We buy our chicks sexed at ~90% guarantee. As they grow, we observe to make sure none are cockerels - if we determine any are male, it helps us further compare and make sure you are getting pullets! We have a few cockerels available - Silver Laced Wyandotte, Production Red, and one Cuckoo Maran.
Our chickens are Mareks and coccidiosis vaccinated, which is a big boost for their health and longevity, and do not have clipped beaks. They have quite lovely personalities, as we've been interacting and holding them so they're docile and used to people/kids.
They are on superior small batch Amish milled layer feed. Purchase includes a small baggie of this feed to mix in w your feed for an easy transition. Fifty-lb bags of the same feed are for sale at $30 a bag. We also introduce bugs, worms, and forage after week 2, ensuring they are healthy, savvy, and ready to thrive on your homestead and produce eggs, and they have begun to free range.

Outdoor pick-ups - we box up your birds and have them ready for you *at our driveway gate* with a baggie of our feed for an easy transition! Please do not drive or walk into our farm - we do not have a brick and mortar store - we meet up at our gate with your chickens for a smooth transition!
