Position Summary:
The Fire Watch Security Officer is responsible for conducting continuous patrols throughout the building to help maintain a safe environment and identify potential fire hazards or safety concerns. Officers are expected to remain alert, document observations, and immediately report any emergencies or unsafe conditions.
Job Responsibilities:
Patrol the building and designated areas on a continuous basis.
Monitor for fire hazards, smoke, unusual odors, or other safety concerns.
Ensure all exits, hallways, and fire lanes remain clear and accessible.
Report any fire alarms, emergencies, or suspicious activity immediately.
Maintain an accurate Fire Watch log, documenting patrol times and observations.
Communicate with supervisors and the client regarding incidents or maintenance issues.
Follow all company policies, site procedures, and emergency response protocols.
Remain professional, attentive, and ready to respond throughout the entire shift.
Requirements:
Ability to walk and stand for extended periods.
Strong observation and communication skills.
Reliable transportation and punctual attendance.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Previous security or Fire Watch experience is preferred but not required.
