Up for grabs is a Gretsch Electromatic Junior Jet short-scale bass. Finish is primarily, what I would describe, a "black burst" that is opaque on the black and sides and gives way to a subtle wood grain in the center of the body around the pickup. It is a solid-body, single-pickup workhorse that delivers massive, warm low-end without the back-breaking weight.
The short scale makes the neck incredibly fast and comfortable to navigate. It is a perfect home studio tool. The single Gretsch mini-humbucker provides a straightforward, no-nonsense tone that sits beautifully in a mix and takes gain stages (like a good overdrive pedal) exceptionally well. Only getting rid of it because I'm primarily a guitar player and I recently had a vintage P-Bass land in my lap.
Condition: Fair. This bass is fully functional, plays fast, and sounds great, but it has definitely been a player's instrument. It has noticeable cosmetic wear, specifically minor chips in the finish on the body and neck.
Price: $150
Can meet in the Richmond Area (home base is Bon Air).
