Banjo player here (Richmond)

I've been playing Banjo for 25 years--plenty of on-stage time, played in worship circles, house shows, and outdoor shindigs. I have played in bluegrass, CCM, southern rock, jazz fusion and alt-americana bands over the years.
I prefer playing with accomplished musicians who are well versed in improvisation including creating balance of both notes and non-notes. Being aware of other players is a must. As Miles Davis once said, "it's not the notes you play, it's the notes you don't play".
I currently do not have a practice space, but willing to travel around Richmond. I'm looking forward to meeting new musicians, particularly those who have gig experience and experimenting with new sounds.
