Hey, I'm Steve, a drummer and sound designer with a one-of-a-kind home studio kit, and I'm looking for a serious project to commit to as the studio drummer and help build a real album.
The honest truth is that lately, as much as I love playing live, I've started to miss actually making music. After 13 years of gigging, small local tours, and festivals, I want to put my energy into writing and recording something that lasts instead of chasing the next show. I'm also coming home musically, transitioning out of country and back to where my heart has always been: metal and deathcore. I'm open to most/all genres, but would prefer something harder.
What I'm after is a band or artist who wants to work the way I do now, trading tracks back and forth, building drum parts, and recording from home toward an actual record we can release. You send the music, I sit with it, write and track the drums, and send back clean, mix-ready stems. My rig is a custom hybrid acoustic-electronic setup, so you get a big, modern, studio-quality heavy drum sound: fast double kick, tight timing, and parts written to hit, without booking studio time.
If you're more interested in making records than endlessly gigging, especially given the state live music is in right now, I'd love to connect with like-minded musicians. And once we've made some amazing music together, I'd be happy to build a path toward live and in-person shows too, as I own a full live/studio rig as well (Tama Starclassic + Meinl Byzance).
Hear my playing and get in touch (remove the dashes):
