Experienced and reliable Class A CDL truck drivers needed to join our team in Ruther Glen, VA. The primary duty for this valued asset would be the safe and timely transportation of refrigerated freight to our retail grocer customer on a dedicated weekly route. All trailers are preloaded. If you are an extremely proficient, reliable, professional with a keen sense of attention to detail and a strong commitment to safety, we want to hear from you ASAP. No refrigerated freight trailer operation/delivery experience is required. WE WILL TRAIN YOU.
Essential Responsibilities:
MUST be able to communicate fluently in English through demonstrated verbal, written and listening skills.
Transport dry, perishable & frozen products via refrigerated trailer from the distribution center to specified destinations.
Safely operate liftgate and manual pallet jacket. Will train if you have no experience.
Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs, and occasionally up to 100 lbs.
Regular, predictable, and full attendance is essential.
Must be able to stand, walk, sit, reach, and handle materials frequently throughout the workday.
No pallet breakdown or piece count necessary.
Obey and follow all traffic laws, DOT/ FMCSA safety regulations and company policies.
Perform & record daily pre-trip and post- trip vehicle inspections.
Maintain accurate & compliant hours of service record via ELD and other required paperwork.
Work cooperatively and communicate effectively with dispatch and other team members.
Qualifications:
Must possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL). Non- Domicile CDL prohibited due to new laws.
Must have a minimum of three (3) years of recent and verifiable Class A driving experience with no major gaps of voluntary/involuntary unemployment.
Absolutely NO history of "job hopping" over the past year with multiple employers. No more than two jobs in the past year.
Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no history of "at-fault" rollover accident, no "at-fault" jack-knife accident and no more than one preventable incident/accident with less than $1k in damages within the past 3 years.
No DUI or Reckless driving conviction.
Must be able to pass a hair follicle drug screen and background check.
Ability to enter & exit trailer, including meeting the physical demands of climbing,
lifting, and tailgating pallets with manual pallet jack.
Compensation & Limited Benefits
Paid a percentage of the total gross revenue the driver generates on a weekly basis.
Paid $35 per stop after the first stop.
Holiday pay at a flat rate of $275.00
Out and back home daily.
The work week consists of five days, M-F. Required to work two Saturdays per month.
Pay raise after the first 6 months of continuous employment and then annually, thereafter. Pay raise shall be based on Safety Metrics.
One week of paid vacation after 6 months of continuous employment. Vacation pay shall be paid at a flat rate on a cumulative average over 6 months of continuous employment.
